Photos: Man sustains severe burns after someone poured gasoline on him and set him ablaze in Katsina State

Mr. Muhammed Lawal is currently in critical condition at the Katsina General Hospital after he was set ablaze. Narrating how it happened, Lawal said that he was sleeping outside his house at night due to the oppresive heat when he fet someone pour gasonline on him and set him on fire. He is asking the public to assist him as he can't afford his medical bills. He can be reached at Lawan Katsina General Hospital, patients group room 3, bed 11.

The 15th matriculation ceremony for the 2016/2017 academic session has been scheduled to hold on  Saturday, July 8th 2017   at the  Niger Delta University Gloryland Main Campus Auditorium . The procedures for the 15th matriculation ceremony are as follows; All Matriculants are expected to pay the sum of three thousand naira (#3,000)  cash only to the Bursar's Representative at the various faculties. All Matriculants are required to present payment receipt to their respective Faculty officers before collection of Academic gowns/Anthems CD All Matriculants are expected to be seated according to their faculties in the Gloryland Main Campus Auditorium by 08:00 AM Academic Processions is due to commence by 08:45 AM - All Deans/Heads of Departments are required to meet at the ETF Building by 08:30 am

EFCC arrests Governor Dickson’s ex-aide for offering N10m bribe to EFCC official

A former Senior Special Assistant on Media to Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The suspect, Abnedgo Don- Evarada, was arrested on Monday in Port- Harcourt, Rivers State for allegedly offering a bribe of N10million (Ten Million Naira) to the EFCC’s Zonal Head in Port- Harcourt, Mr Ishaq Salihu. Don-Evarada ran into trouble when he approached Salihu, over a case involving the Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa’s state governor on Millennium Development Goals, Apere Embelakpo and his wife, Fiene Beauty. Embelakpo is being investigated for alleged diversion of N800million (Eight Hundred Million Naira only), being funds meant for the Millennium Development Goals, MDG, while his wife is being investigated for alleged money laundering, forgery and suspicious transactions to the tune of N200million (Two Hundred Million Naira only).
