Today 10th October, 2017 is the remembrance day of Late Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha and for that all shops in Amassoma are ask to Lock up their shops for the 2nd Remembrance of this Hero. 
It’s also declare a Public Holiday for students in Primary and Secondary School in the Community.

Heros don’t die, they are made by the paths they Choose…

EFCC arrests Governor Dickson’s ex-aide for offering N10m bribe to EFCC official

A former Senior Special Assistant on Media to Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The suspect, Abnedgo Don- Evarada, was arrested on Monday in Port- Harcourt, Rivers State for allegedly offering a bribe of N10million (Ten Million Naira) to the EFCC’s Zonal Head in Port- Harcourt, Mr Ishaq Salihu. Don-Evarada ran into trouble when he approached Salihu, over a case involving the Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa’s state governor on Millennium Development Goals, Apere Embelakpo and his wife, Fiene Beauty. Embelakpo is being investigated for alleged diversion of N800million (Eight Hundred Million Naira only), being funds meant for the Millennium Development Goals, MDG, while his wife is being investigated for alleged money laundering, forgery and suspicious transactions to the tune of N200million (Two Hundred Million Naira only). The 15th matriculation ceremony for the 2016/2017 academic session has been scheduled to hold on  Saturday, July 8th 2017   at the  Niger Delta University Gloryland Main Campus Auditorium . The procedures for the 15th matriculation ceremony are as follows; All Matriculants are expected to pay the sum of three thousand naira (#3,000)  cash only to the Bursar's Representative at the various faculties. All Matriculants are required to present payment receipt to their respective Faculty officers before collection of Academic gowns/Anthems CD All Matriculants are expected to be seated according to their faculties in the Gloryland Main Campus Auditorium by 08:00 AM Academic Processions is due to commence by 08:45 AM - All Deans/Heads of Departments are required to meet at the ETF Building by 08:30 am
